Plain Game
Sources and Licences
Plain Game uses a deliberately small, versioned reference set. Values are rounded for estimation play and credited here so the learning remains transparent.
Geography and population
Country neighbours, areas and general geography are checked against public reference works including Wikidata and English Wikipedia. Country population anchors use United Nations World Population Prospects and World Bank indicators where appropriate.
Mountains, rivers and buildings
Broad height and length references are checked against attributed Wikipedia/Wikidata entries and specialist public databases such as the CTBUH Skyscraper Center. Rounded values are used in game prompts.
History, technology and space
Public historical dates and Apollo facts are checked against official NASA material and established public reference sources.
Licences
Wikidata is available under CC0. Wikipedia text and data are available under CC BY-SA 4.0 with attribution to contributors. United Nations and World Bank materials remain under their stated reuse terms. The game’s original selection, wording and code are separate works.
Trademarks and no affiliation
Names of films, buildings, products, organisations and people identify factual answers only. Their appearance does not mean that Plain Game is affiliated with or endorsed by the relevant rights holder.
